This is a simple top-down 2D cyclocross prototype built in Phaser.

I’ve wanted to play a cyclocross video game since 2009, and this passion project has proved to me that it's possible.

It’s not a full game, and it doesn’t try to be. There are no deep systems or long progression—just the basics:

  • Racing
  • Terrain variety
  • Barriers
  • Dismounting (and getting it wrong)
  • Winning!

The goal here was to explore how cyclocross might feel in a game, and to serve as a stepping stone toward a larger 3D project that’s currently in development.

If you’ve ever watched or raced cyclocross and thought “someone should make this into a video game,” this is a first attempt at exactly that.
